When we were packing up the briar cave to move, I was delighted to find an entire case of this shape - a smaller, slimmed-down and dieted variant of our popular Fat Dwarf. You can see the size difference in the comparison pics above. The bowl is about 2/3 the capacity of the larger pipe, and the thick shank is much reduced, making for a much lighter shape that retains the charm of the original bowl design while looking somewhat more classically proportioned overall. This is the first of these that I have done, but certainly won't be the last. This one is sandblasted in a detailed, spidery blast that shows off the fine grain of the wood."
